I’ve been posting on LinkedIn for a while, and like many people, I know how hit-or-miss it can be.
Some posts take off, others barely get seen, and it often feels random.
So, I decided to run an experiment.
Instead of guessing the best time to post, manually picking who to target, or writing my own comments, I let Podawaa’s AI handle everything:
- AI-selected audience → automatic matching with relevant people
- AI-managed likes → steady reactions that keep the post active in the feed
- AI timing → spreading engagement gradually during peak hours
The question was simple: if I used only the AI settings, would a single boost make a real difference in reach, engagement, and more LinkedIn followers?
Here’s what I found.
LinkedIn Boost Results Using Podawaa’s AI
Normally, my LinkedIn posts fade after a handful of likes and a couple of comments. This time, the results were on another level.
264 likes and 32 comments. Usually, my posts get a few likes and maybe a comment or two. This one was different; the numbers kept going up for two days straight.
I didn’t use Podawaa’s AI comment feature here. The 30+ comments came from real people who decided to join the discussion themselves.
The reason that happened is that the boost showed the LinkedIn post to the right audience.
Since the right people saw it, they were more likely to respond and share their thoughts, which made the thread feel natural and active.
So here are the results: The boosted post quickly crossed 260+ likes and 30+ comments, a big jump compared to my usual engagement.

35 new profile views.
Another result was a noticeable increase in profile visits. LinkedIn tracks how many people view your profile and shows these metrics in real time. (See full LinkedIn metrics)
From this post alone, 35 people checked out my profile. Some of them even sent connection requests afterward.

2,914 impressions and wider reach. The biggest change showed up in the post analytics.
On LinkedIn, impressions mean how many times your post appeared in someone’s feed.
This boosted post reached almost 3,000 impressions and over 1,500 unique members—much higher than what I usually get on my own.
The key takeaway is that the engagement didn’t feel artificial. The likes and comments came from people genuinely interested in the topic.
They not only interacted with the post but also viewed my profile and connected with me, which made the boost feel meaningful rather than just bigger numbers.
Note: LinkedIn recently launched two new post metrics: Saves and Sends.
How to Boost LinkedIn Post with AI
Once I decided to let Podawaa’s AI take over, the setup was straightforward.
Here’s exactly how I boosted my LinkedIn post:
Step 1: Checking the Best Time to Post
Before boosting, I used Podawaa’s best time to post feature. It analyzes when your audience is most active and suggests time slots with the highest chance of engagement.
Here’s what the best time to publish looks like on Podawaa:

For me, it is recommended early morning on a weekday. So I scheduled my post for that time, and by the time I launched the boost, it was already aligned with LinkedIn’s natural activity patterns.
This small step made a big difference. Instead of posting at random, I published when my audience was actually online, which helped the boost reach more people.
Step 2: AI Audience Targeting
For this experiment, I wanted to see what happens when I don’t make any manual choices. So instead of selecting industries or job titles myself, I picked the AI audience targeting option in Podawaa.
This setting lets the AI analyze the content of your LinkedIn post (the language you use, the topic, and even specific keywords) and then automatically promotes it to the ideal audience.

The idea is simple: rather than me guessing who might be interested, Podawaa’s AI matches the post with real LinkedIn users who are most likely to engage.
Normally, I’d overthink this step and try to narrow down my audience manually (marketers, founders, developers, etc.), but this time I trusted the AI completely.
And based on the results: higher impressions, more profile views, and comments from people outside my usual LinkedIn network, it clearly worked better than my guesswork.
In short, letting AI handle the audience targeting saved me time, expanded my reach, and made sure the post didn’t just stay inside my old connections.
Step 3: Adding Likes and Reactions
After setting the audience, I had to choose the type of engagement. I went up to 20 likes, which is the most common option in Podawaa.

The interesting part is how the AI manages this. The likes don’t all appear instantly; instead, Podawaa spreads them out gradually, so it looks like normal engagement in the LinkedIn feed.
This makes the post feel active without raising any red flags.
In my case, the steady flow of likes kept the post circulating for longer.
Every time I checked back, it was still showing up in the feed, which is not something I usually see with my LinkedIn posts.
Step 4: AI-Generated Comments
Writing comments on LinkedIn takes time, and most of us only manage a few quick replies before moving on.
Podawaa has an AI comment generator that can help with this. Here’s what it looks like:

The way it works: Podawaa analyzes your post and suggests personalized comments that go beyond generic “Great post!” fillers.
They reference details from the post and sound like natural replies you’d expect from real people. You can review and edit them before publishing, so they still match your tone of voice.
In my case, I didn’t enable this option for the boosted post.
The 30+ comments I received came from real people who saw the content and decided to join the conversation themselves.
Still, if you want to keep a thread active without writing everything manually, Podawaa’s AI comment feature can save a lot of time and keep the discussion flowing.
Step 5: Choosing Speed and Timing
The next choice was how fast I wanted the likes and comments to appear. Podawaa gives you two options: Standard speed (spread over 1–2 days) or Super Fast (everything within a few hours).
For this experiment, I picked Standard speed. The idea was to keep the engagement flow looking natural in the LinkedIn feed.
Instead of a sudden spike (which LinkedIn’s algorithm might find suspicious), the reactions and comments came in gradually.

Step 6: Confirming the Boost
Once everything was set (audience, likes, comments, speed, and timing) I just clicked Confirm. Podawaa’s AI handled the rest automatically.
The boost ran on its own: likes came in steadily, comments appeared naturally, and the post stayed visible in the feed for two days.
What stood out was how little effort it took. A few minutes of setup gave me better results than most of my manual posting.
